For continued reimbursement, insurance companies require imaging lab accreditation. Molecular Imaging Resource utilizes highly qualified professionals physicists experienced with the policies, procedures and requirements of ACR, ICANL, and ICAEL accreditation. We guide you through the process to help ensure that your facility meets accreditation standards.
Physicist and RSO Services
Molecular Imaging Resource experience and expertise in nuclear medicine makes us the optimal choice to provide physicist and Radiation Safety Officers for your facility.
- Quarterly surveys of the Nuclear Medicine Department to evaluate existing radiation safety programs with nuclear medicine radiation safety regulations and guides. Provide recommendations going forward as necessary.
- Calibration of radiation nuclear survey meters.
- Quarterly inventory and leak testing of sealed sources.
- Preparation of documentation necessary for radioactive material licensure including license renewal applications and amendment requests.
- The Radiation Safety Officer is responsible for recommending or approving corrective actions, identifying radiation safety problems, initiating action, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- The Radiation Safety Officer will ensure that authorized users, workers, and ancillary personnel who may be exposed to radiation will be instructed in the ALARA program
